Who we are

Codeberry (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the enquiry form on it. For personal data collected through this site we act as the organisation deciding why and how that data is used (under Indian law, a Data Fiduciary).

This notice is only about this marketing website and messages you send us through it. If we later build or host a product for you, that work is covered by the contract for that project, which may add extra rules for customer or employee data you put into the product.

What this notice covers

It applies to visitors, people who submit the contact form, and people who email us about work. It does not apply to job applicants until we publish a separate careers process, and it does not apply to end-users of software we build for a client unless that client’s product collects data through us as a processor.

Words we use

Personal data means information that identifies you or can reasonably be used to identify you, such as a name or work email.

Processing means collecting, storing, using, sharing, or deleting that information.

You are the person the data is about. Under Indian law that person is often called a Data Principal.

Personal data we collect

We collect three kinds of information, and only as far as the site actually uses them.

• You send us: name, work email, and the project description in the form, plus anything you write in later email.
• Your browser creates: IP address, device and browser type, pages requested, time of the request, and optional campaign tags in the URL (for example utm_source).
• We do not ask for government IDs, payment cards, health data, or passwords on this website. Do not put secrets in the form.

Why we use it

We use this data to:

• Read your enquiry and reply, including to decide if we can take the work.
• Keep the website running, debug errors, and reduce spam or abuse.
• See which pages are used so we can improve the site.
• Keep records we may need for tax, accounting, or a dispute if we start a project.

Consent and other grounds

When you submit the form you ask us to use the details you typed so we can respond. You can refuse by not sending the form, or later ask us to stop using that enquiry for follow-up.

We also process limited technical logs because we need them to operate and secure a public website. Where a cookie is not essential, we will not run it until the site asks for a clear choice.

If you are in India, we intend this notice to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requirement to say who we are, what we collect, why, and how you can use your rights. If you are elsewhere, similar fairness rules may also apply.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising networks. We share it only with people who need it to help us run the studio:

• Hosting and infrastructure for this website.
• The backend that stores leads when that service is connected.
• Email delivery, if we reply from an email host.
• Advisers (for example an accountant or lawyer) if a matter requires it.
• Authorities if the law requires us to disclose something.

Where data is stored

Servers and email tools may be in India or another country. If data leaves India we still expect the recipient to protect it with a written arrangement appropriate to the tool. We do not publish a fake list of vendors; the live stack can change, and we will name significant processors here when they are in regular use.

How long we keep it

Form enquiries: kept while we are talking, then usually up to 24 months so we can restart a conversation, unless you ask us to delete sooner and we have no legal reason to keep a copy.

Server logs: typically 12 months or less, unless we need a log to investigate an incident.

Contracts, invoices, and similar records if we work together: kept for the period books-and-records law requires, often several years.

Security

We use HTTPS, limit who can read incoming enquiries, and avoid collecting extra fields. We do not claim a particular certificate or audit on this page. No internet transmission is perfectly safe. Use an email address you control.

If something goes wrong

If personal data we hold is accessed or lost in a way the law treats as a breach, we will notify the people and authorities the law requires, as soon as we reasonably can, and we will say what we know and what we are doing.

Cookies

Essential cookies (or similar storage) may be needed for the site to load or to remember a basic preference. Analytics cookies, if added, will be described here and, where required, turned off until you agree.

You can block cookies in your browser. Blocking everything may break parts of the site.

Your rights

You may ask us to confirm whether we hold data about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for follow-up that was based on your request. You may also nominate someone to exercise rights on your behalf where the law allows that.

Write to hello@codeberry.com from the address you used, or give us enough detail to find your enquiry. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We will respond within a reasonable time, and within any deadline the law sets.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a grievance, you may have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India or another authority where you live.

Children

This site is for business enquiries from adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you think a child has sent us data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

We will change the date at the top when we update this notice. If the change is material we will say so on this page. Please read it again if you send a new enquiry after an update.
